Government employees’ salaries do not increase, dearness allowance reaches Rs 5,000 per month

Kathmandu. The government has increased the dearness allowance of government employees. The dearness allowance has been increased instead of the salaries of the employees through the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83 BS.

The dearness allowance has been increased to Rs 5,000 with effect from July 2018. Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel said the salary could not be increased due to pressure from sources.
