Kathmandu. Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal MP Prakash Adhikari has said that good governance has deteriorated in the country. He said this while participating in a theoretical discussion on the bill to amend the Nepal Police Act in the State Affairs Committee meeting on Wednesday.

He said that the trust in the people has been shaken and said that it is sad that a situation has been created where people are losing trust in the security agencies in a place where the need for security agencies is felt even when eating a grain of rice.

Stating that the current distortions will not go away if the country is not run on the basis of federalism, MP Adhikari said, ‘Good governance has deteriorated in the country. Trust in the people has been shaken. The police today, the need for security agencies, the police are needed even when eating a grain of rice. Our life has become like this. The police are also needed in the fight between husband and wife at home. The social situation has developed in this way. The bill came late, but it is good that it came. There should be no delay now. We have entered the federal democratic system. If we do not operate on the basis of federalism, the current problems will not go away. This is why these problems have been created.’

The MP said that the police force itself is in trouble due to the lack of law and mentioned the need to instill trust in the people.
