Global IME Bank celebrates International Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Day

Kathmandu. Global IME Bank Limited has celebrated the International Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Day in a grand manner. The bank has launched the Global Haat Bazaar, which is operated with the aim of facilitating the marketing of products produced by the micro, small and medium enterprises to which it has invested in loans.

The bank had organized a special fair at its Haat Bazaar on Friday to mark the International Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Day and the 25th week of the Haat Bazaar. Taking the slogan of Entrepreneurs’ Products, Global IME’s Encouragement, the bank has been operating a market every Friday at the bank’s Kamaladi branch in Kathmandu with the aim of expanding the market access of products made by micro, small and medium enterprises operated with its investment.

Speaking at a program organized on the occasion of International Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Day and the 25th week of the market, the bank’s Chief Executive Officer Surendra Raj Regmi said that micro, small and medium enterprises play an important role in the country’s economy and that the market will make a special contribution to the promotion of such enterprises.

He said that the market will expand the market access of micro, small and medium enterprises, which are contributing to building a sustainable and green economy, to create direct connections between farmers and consumers, and He said that it has played a supportive role in providing fair prices to farmers for their produce. He also informed that the market encourages organic, indigenous and local products, facilitates marketing and provides encouragement to Nepali producers.

‘The market, which we have run as a small and symbolic campaign, has become widespread to this day. In addition, this market will make a significant contribution to promoting Nepal’s organic, indigenous and local products and provide encouragement to producers,’ he said. More than two dozen products/materials of farmers and businessmen, including pesticide-free agricultural produce, indigenous crops and related crop products, handicrafts produced using local resources, and plants used for decoration, are displayed and sold at the market.
