Rautahat. Gaur Customs Office has succeeded in collecting 85 percent of the revenue target in the first six months of the fiscal year 2081/82. The office has succeeded in collecting 146.755 million in revenue from Shrawan to Poush, informed Amendra Singh, Acting Chief of Gaur Customs Office.
The Customs Department had set a revenue collection target of 354.378 million for the fiscal year 2081/82, but 146.755 million was collected by the end of Poush, he said. Chief Singh informed that this is 85 percent of the revenue collection target from Shrawan to Poush.
According to Chief Singh, the highest revenue collection of 34.714 million was in Poush in these six months. This month, 17 percent more revenue was collected than the target. This year, the Gaur Customs Office is working to meet the target given by the department.
Meanwhile, Rautahat Police have seized smuggled goods worth Rs 24.277 million from the border area since last Shrawan and handed them over to the Gaur Customs, Rautahat Police Chief Dilip Ghimire said.
During that period, 66 people, 108 motorcycles, two pickup vans, two Scorpio vehicles, 14 bicycles and four city rickshaws were seized and handed over to the Customs Office, he said.
During the same period, the District Traffic Police Office seized Rs 6.824 million and five hundred Superintendent Ghimire informed that the revenue has been collected.
