Rautahat. FreshKTM Farming, which has been creating a new identity for healthy and safe vegetable and grain production in Nepal, is cultivating pesticide-controlled vegetables and fruits.
The farm, spread over an area of 100 bighas in Rautahat, has been producing pesticide-controlled vegetables, fruits, rice, corn, wheat, mustard, and lentils.
FreshKTM has been providing the vegetables, fruits, and other food grains produced in the said farm daily at its FreshKTM outlets in Ratopul, Jhamsinkhel, and Bhaisepati in Kathmandu.
Integrated Agriculture Model : New Approach to Nutrition and Pest Control
FreshKTA Farming has developed a safe farming system by adopting integrated nutrition management and integrated pest management, said FreshKTA Director Shiva Neupane.
According to Neupane, the farm currently produces more than 25 types of vegetables, as well as wheat, mustard and pulses. Which has helped consumers access healthy food.
Neupane says that the farm has also started research on how this farming method, which is generally considered expensive, can be done at a low cost by producing its own compost, vermicompost and organic microorganisms for healthy production.
‘FreshKTM Farm, which has been creating a zero-waste ecosystem, has provided more than 100 jobs,’ Neupane said, ‘in which we prepare the food required on the farm, including the food itself. .’
While cost is a major issue in agriculture, FreshKTM is producing its own compost, vermicompost, and microorganisms using the dung and organic resources of more than 250 buffaloes at the farm.
This not only increases soil fertility, but also ensures healthy production by eliminating excessive use of chemicals. Which has also contributed greatly to reducing costs.
Fresh products at all its own outlets
FreshKTM Farming produces beans, carrots, beets, peppers, tomatoes, cauliflower, broad beans, bitter gourd, mustard greens, cucumbers, wheat, mustard oil and various types of pulses, which are available daily at FreshKTM’s outlets in Ratopul, Jhamsikhel and Bhaisepati, Neupane said. .
FreshKTM to expand outlets
Addressing the growth of pesticide-controlled products and consumer demand, FreshKTM is now expanding its outlets in various locations in the Kathmandu Valley. Neupane informed that preparations for opening FreshKTM outlets in new locations have reached the final stage. Which has stated that it will provide consumers with pesticide-controlled, healthy and fresh produce at a reasonable price.

Neupane said that the use of chemical fertilizers is minimal, organic fertilizers and plant pesticides are used, and in extreme cases, vegetables that have been used with chemical pesticides are immediately picked according to the standards.
