Kathmandu. Kathmandu: Nepal Police has operated free buses in The Kathmandu Valley today to provide services to the general public. The police headquarters has operated free buses on two different routes.
The buses will leave various destinations in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur from the Police Headquarters, Naxal. Buses will ply from Naxal to Baluwatar, Maharajgunj, New Bus Park, Swayambhu, Kalanki, Balkhu, Satdobato, Lagankhel, Jawalakhel, Thapathali, Maitighar, Putalisadak and JayNepal Hall routes. Similarly, police buses will ply from Naxal via Ratopul, Gaushala, Airport, Kateshwor, Sallaghari, Suryabinayak, Chabahil, Sukedhara, Chakrapath, Maharajgunj and Baluwatar.
Instructions not to charge more
The police have instructed riders of various ride-sharing companies not to charge more from passengers. The police issued the directive after receiving complaints of overcharging and transporting offline passengers. The police have requested to lodge a complaint with the nearest traffic police office if they are found charging more fare from the passengers.
