Former Vice President Pasang returns to Maoist responsibilities, paving the way for Vidya Bhandari to become UML president

Kathmandu. Former Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun Pasang has returned to party politics. The CPN-Maoist Center has made him the party’s vice president. Pasang had served two terms as vice president. With former Vice President Pasang returning to active politics, it has become easier for former President Bidya Bhandari to return to active politics. Bhandari has been keen to become the president of the CPN (UML) and become the prime minister once. She is currently in a hurry to please the UML party ranks. About two-thirds of the UML has been urging Bhandari to return to active politics. Preparations are also underway to reunite the left under Bhandari’s leadership.
