Kathmandu. The meeting of the Governor’s Recommendation Committee held for the first time has ended. The meeting was held to appoint the 18th Governor of the Rastra Bank.
The meeting was held in the meeting room of Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel. Former Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari, expert member of the committee, dr. Poshraj Pandey and Revenue Secretary Dinesh Ghimire were present on the occasion.
According to sources, the meeting recommended the names of Bishwanath Poudel, Deputy Governor Nilam Dhungana and former Home Secretary Dinesh Bhattarai at number 1 and 3 respectively.
Revenue Secretary Ghimire has sealed the names of three people after raising the comments of the meeting and the program has been fixed in the Cabinet and the Prime Minister’s Office soon.
The meeting of the Council of Ministers on Tuesday. It has been agreed to appoint Bishwanath Poudel as governor.
