Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that former King Gyanendra Shah will not be granted immunity. Addressing the House of Representatives meeting on Monday, he said this.
He mentioned that former King Shah was also involved in the violent protest of the royalist group in Tinkune last Friday. He claimed that anyone who engages in violent protests under any cover will be brought to justice.
He accused former King Shah of inciting the crowd by issuing a video statement, saying that he will overthrow the system and become king again, so he should not make his views public on the series of incidents. He also asked questions.
He said, “Former King Gyanendra Shah incited the crowd by issuing a public video statement on Falgun 7. Former King Shah should not be exempted either. Those who say they will become king again and destroy the system should not make their views public on all these series of incidents.”
When Prime Minister Oli made a statement against the former king, RPP MPs stood up in the assembly and protested.
