Kathmandu. The Confederation of Banks and Financial Institutions Nepal (CBFIN) has welcomed the suggestion committee formed at the special initiative of the Governor-appointed Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank to identify the real problems and challenges in the banking sector and provide concrete solutions.

According to CBFIN, the formation of a national-level sub-committee focusing on reforms for the first time in nepal’s banking history is a historic achievement. The sub-committee is particularly important to include eminent subject matter experts from outside the central bank and the experience of the private sector.

CBFIN believes that the governor’s on-site study, policy review and plans and statements for long-term reforms in the financial sector have moved the country towards sustainable development in the economic and banking sector.

CBFIN has expressed its commitment to actively participate in the study, discussion and dialogue of the sub-committee and submit investigative suggestions and to cooperate in the implementation of far-reaching plans taken by the Rastra Bank.
