Kathmandu. NIC Asia Bank and Nepal Clearing House Limited (NCHL) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enable tourists from different countries of the world to pay directly to NepalPay QR merchants using alipay+ network.
With this agreement, citizens of more than 11 countries associated with the payment system service provider Alipay+ will be able to pay directly to the NepalPay QR merchants provided by this bank through their country’s wallet or banking app when they come to Nepal.
The agreement was signed by Jayendra Rawal, Assistant CEO of Yes Bank and Nilesh Man Singh Pradhan, CHIEF Executive Officer of Nepal Clearing House Limited. The Alipay+ network currently has banks and payment providers from China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Mongolia, Thailand, South Korea, Italy, Macao, Germany, among others.
After this agreement, merchants associated with this bank will be able to easily get payments made through NepalPay QR by tourists from countries connected to alipay+ network. This agreement between the bank and NCHL has also promoted the country’s inter-country QR payment and provided easy payment service for tourists coming to Nepal.
