Foreign reinsurance brokers directed to establish offices in Nepal

Kathmandu. The Nepal Insurance Authority has directed foreign reinsurance brokers to establish offices in Nepal.

As per the Insurance Reinsurance Directive, 2080, foreign reinsurance brokers who have not yet established offices have been instructed to establish offices within three months.

The Insurance Reinsurance Directive, 2080, stipulates that reinsurance brokers who are listed with the Authority and have received a listing number will have to establish a joint venture company, branch or liaison office in Nepal within six months.
