Kathmandu. Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Arzu Rana Deuba and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Chairman Dr Tanaka Akihiko held a meeting today.
During the meeting held at JICA headquarters in Tokyo today, nepal-Japan bilateral relations and various issues of mutual interest were discussed, according to his secretariat.
During the meeting, Minister Rana thanked the Japanese government for its support to Nepal in various sectors including economic and social sectors for a long time.
She appreciated JICA’s support to Nepal in areas such as economic growth and poverty alleviation, disaster risk reduction and climate change and strengthening good governance and democracy through its basic support policy.
On the occasion, Minister Rana appreciated the japanese government’s support to several areas of Nepal, including the construction of Nagdhunga tunnel way, reconstruction and maintenance of Sindhuli Bardibas road.
During the meeting, they also discussed nepal-Japan relations, JICA’s support to Nepal, climate change and its impact, disaster management, good governance and senior citizens.
