Tulsipur. Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has started operating flights from Tarigaun Airport in Tulsipur-12 based on the demand of passengers. Bal Bahadur Sunar, chief of Tulsipur branch of nac, informed that flights are now operating five days a week as per the demand of passengers at Tarigaun Airport.
According to him, flights are operating on five other days of the week except Wednesday and Saturday. Due to lack of regular air service in Tarigaon, passengers had to go to Nepalgunj or Bhairahawa. Due to the small runway of the airport, large aircraft have not been able to sit.
Currently, only 19-seater aircraft are operating. At present, the runway of the airport is 750 meters. There have been repeated calls for the expansion of the runway. The airport was built in 2011 BS.
