Kathmandu. The country’s flights have been affected due to adverse weather. The airport office has stated that flights at various airports in the country, including Tribhuvan International Airport, have been affected due to poor visibility due to continuous rain.
According to airport spokesperson Rinji Sherpa, domestic and international flights have been affected due to bad weather and low visibility. He informed that due to ‘en route weather’ in the morning, a Jazeera Air flight on the international side was diverted to Banaras, India, while a Buddha Air mountain flight was diverted domestically.

As the rain stopped, flights are operating normally from Kathmandu Airport and regional airports outside Kathmandu, Spokesperson Sherpa informed. Some flights have been disrupted at airports in remote areas, while Nepal Airlines Corporation’s Kathmandu-Thamkharka flight has also been diverted, he said.
There was light rain in the Kathmandu Valley since this morning. The weather around Kathmandu is generally clear now, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division. The weather bulletin issued by the division states that light rain is currently occurring in some hilly parts of the country, including Kathmandu, due to the influence of westerly winds and local winds.
The division stated that the rain was caused by the partial influence of the water vapor-rich air entering from the Bay of Bengal. The division has stated that it will be partly to generally cloudy across the country this afternoon and there is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder, lightning and gusty winds in some places in the hilly regions of the country including Koshi and Lumbini provinces and in some places in the rest of the country.
There is also a possibility of light rain and snowfall in some places in the mountainous and hilly regions of the country.
