Doti. A house has been destroyed in a fire in KI Singh Rural Municipality of the district. The District Police Office has informed that the fire broke out this morning while cooking in a two-story mud house of Baji Bhul in KI Singh-3 Jhigabasti.
The District Police Office has stated that 10 sacks of food grains, clothes, utensils and other property worth approximately Rs 250,000 have been destroyed due to the fire. The eight members of the Bhul family have now been shifted to their relatives’ houses, informed Bhimlal Bhattarai, Information Officer of the District Police Office and Deputy Superintendent of Police. He said that there was no human or livestock loss due to the fire and further investigation into the incident is underway.
The fire was brought under control by mobilizing six policemen and locals under the coordination of Deputy Inspector Kulbir Bohara, who was deployed at the scene, Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhattarai informed.
