Kathmandu. A fire broke out at the RMB Plastic Packaging Factory in Bosigaun, Chandragiri Municipality-10, Kathmandu today. The factory, jointly run by Pushpa Shrestha and Ramesh Podar, caught fire.
A team of 32 people from Police Circle Balaju, Police Circle Thankot, and Division have been deployed to control the fire. Spokesperson of the District Police Range Kathmandu, Superintendent of Police Appel Raj Bohara, informed that the fire has been brought under control. The Armed Police Force and locals were also deployed to douse the fire. He said that the plastic factory was destroyed by the fire and details of the damage are yet to be received. Seven fire engines and 15 water tankers were used to douse the fire.
Police have stated that fire engines from Chandragiri Municipality, Bishal Bazaar Fire Department, Balaju Fire Department, Lalitpur Metropolitan City Fire Department, Bhaktapur Municipality Fire Department, Bouddha Ramhiti Fire Department and Budhanilkantha Municipality Fire Department were used to douse the fire.
