Kathmandu. NMB Bank Agricultural Development Bank and Bajra Energy Ventures have made a financial arrangement to invest in the 24.8 MW capacity Bajra Madi Hydropower Project located in Madi Rural Municipality, Kaski District.
NMB Bank Ltd. will be the lead bank in this project. The approximate cost of the 24.8 MW capacity Bajra Madi Hydropower Project is Rs. 5.35 billion, while the loan investment from banks and financial institutions will be Rs. 3.74 billion. 50 million. NMB Bank Ltd. has so far invested in more than 50 hydropower projects.
Similarly, Vision Lumbini Energy Company Ltd., which was invested by the same group. It was informed that the commercial production of the 25 MW Seti River Hydropower Project promoted by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in Annapurna Rural Municipality of Kaski District and Pokhara Metropolitan City has started from 12 noon on Kartik 27, 2081 BS. The project is led by NMB Bank Ltd. Employees Provident Fund and Agricultural Development Bank Ltd. The loan has been invested.
As per the directives of Environmental and Social Risk Management, 2022 issued by Nepal Rastra Bank, NMB Bank has prepared an environmental and social policy and the bank has implemented an environmental and social management system accordingly.
