Kathmandu. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel has said that there was no error in the process of the bills presented in Parliament.

He said this while responding to questions raised on the ‘Financial Procedures and Fiscal Responsibility First Amendment Ordinance 2081’ presented in the House of Representatives on Wednesday.

He said that there will be opposition and support for the bill to be presented in the House. He said that the Parliament will take an appropriate decision after discussing the bill.

He said, ‘We are in good constitutional practice. The ordinance comes to the House, there is discussion. There is support, there is opposition. The House uses its discretion to decide in an appropriate manner. We are in the same process.’

Finance Minister Poudel insisted that the bill presented in Parliament was not arbitrary or autocratic, but was brought by the government after feeling the need. If presenting proposals in Parliament, discussing them, and making decisions by Parliament itself is autocratic, where do we go to find the definition of democracy? He countered by asking.
