Kathmandu. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has said that he has presented a realistic budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83 BS.
Speaking at a programme organized by the Economic Media Society (IMSON) to discuss the budget for the fiscal year 2082/83 BS, he said that he had prepared the budget based on reality rather than popular.
“There is a mentality in the society that the finance minister formed from the Nepal Communist Party (UML) will bring a popular budget, but this time I have tried to make a realistic budget rather than looking for popularity,” said Finance Minister Poudel. I have prepared the budget thinking about how the scope of resource management can be increased and expenditure can be managed. ”
Deputy Prime Minister Poudel also said that he would respect all the views regarding the budget. He also said that he was restrained and disciplined while preparing the budget himself as finance minister this time.
“The budget has been prepared keeping in mind the limitations seen in terms of resource management in the budget, the size of the mandatory liability has increased, it has also been managed and resources have also been managed on the basis of priority for development,” he said. He also claimed that the budget has been brought to boost the morale of the private sector and increase the investment sector.
“With the implementation of the budget for the coming fiscal year, the economy will become dynamic, it will increase the speed of the economy, and it will also work to increase production and create employment,” he said. Stating that he was also optimistic about the response to the budget, he said that now his duty is to implement the budget.
“My duty has not been fulfilled by presenting a budget and its implementation is also my responsibility. I am also committed to fulfilling the objectives set by the budget,” he said.
