Finance Minister Poudel rejects tax hike in favour of EV vehicles

Kathmandu. Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has refused to increase tax on electric vehicles. For the fiscal year 2082/83, the tax rate will be applicable.

Presenting the budget in the joint sitting of the Parliament, Minister Poudel informed that the tax on all types of electric vehicles has not been increased.

Fearing an increase in taxes, EV importers imported more advance vehicles.
