After the ID password of Bhatbhateni Supermarket was found out and filled in by another person, Finance Minister Poudel said that government technology should be strengthened. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) has arrested two people in the case and is investigating.

Stateing that the use of information technology is indispensable in the current situation to make service flow efficient, fast, and effective, Finance Minister Poudel said that there is no longer a situation where it can be operated in an ad hoc manner.

He directed the concerned officials to increase the use of cutting-edge technology to make service flow reliable and uninterrupted, ensure that no work is affected due to the information system, and develop the necessary qualified human resources and technical capabilities for operating the technology. The Finance Minister said that quality service delivery can only be achieved if every agency is competent in information systems.

Officials from the agencies participating in the program stated that security audits of the information technology systems in operation in their respective agencies are conducted periodically and are strong from a security perspective, and presented additional investment plans to increase the backup capacity of the system.

Also, they said that as the use of information technology increases, the demand for skilled technical manpower will increase, but retaining such manpower within the organization is challenging due to poor service facilities. Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel also said that the government will take appropriate policy decisions to address such problems.

The meeting was attended by officials from the Ministry of Finance, Nepal Rastra Bank, Office of the Comptroller General, Department of Inland Revenue, Department of Customs, Citizens Investment Fund, Nepal Insurance Authority, Nepal Securities Board, Citizens Investment Fund, Nepal Stock Exchange, Rastriya Banijya Bank, Nepal Bank Limited, and others. .
