Kathmandu. The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and Nepal University (NSU) have held discussions on cooperation in the field of education and research in Nepal.
During the meeting held at the FNCCI Secretariat, discussions were held on providing practical knowledge, skill development and employment opportunities to the students as well as producing skilled manpower according to the needs of the industry and business.
Similarly, the Federation and the University have agreed to hold further discussions on curriculum development, training programs, and feasibility of joint projects. On the occasion, Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) President Chandra Prasad Dhakal expressed the belief that the collaboration would help bridge the gap between the private sector and educational institutions.
“This collaboration will be fruitful in producing skilled manpower and providing employment opportunities to the youth. We are positive about such cooperation. ” he said.
University Vice-Chancellor Dr Bindunath Lohani said the collaboration would play an important role in connecting Nepal’s education system with the global market. “Our goal is not only to impart theoretical knowledge but also practical skills and a sense of entrepreneurship to the students. We believe that the collaboration with the Federation will contribute greatly to achieving that goal. Dr Lohani said.
Similarly, vice-chancellor of the university. Arjun Karki said that the main objective of the university is to produce skilled, skilled and quality human resources.
On the occasion, the two sides stressed the importance of cooperation on issues such as joint research and innovation, entrepreneurship development, internship of students and job creation.
