Kathmandu. The federal government has sent a budget of Rs 97.65 billion to the provinces through financial transfer for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83 BS. According to the Inter-Governmental Financial Transfer Report for the fiscal year 2082/83 BS, karnali state has received the highest grant of Rs 16.04 billion.
Similarly, Rs 14.50 billion has been allocated for Koshi Province, Rs 14.20 billion for SudurPaschim Province and Rs 14.01 billion for Lumbini Province. Bagmati Province has received a budget of Rs 13.81 billion, Madhes Rs 12.73 billion and Gandaki Rs 12.23 billion. Gandaki State has received the least through financial transfer from the federal government.
A budget of Rs 320.26 billion has been allocated for the local level for the next fiscal year. Of this, Rs 11.74 billion has been sent for the metropolitan city and Rs 11.38 billion for the sub-metropolis.
Similarly, the municipality has sent Rs 143.10 billion grant from the central government and Rs 154.27 billion to the rural municipality for the next fiscal year.
The federal government has allocated Rs 149.62 billion for equalization grant and Rs 241.80 billion for conditional grant to the provincial and local levels for financial transfer for the upcoming fiscal year. Similarly, rs 13.34 billion has been allocated for supplementary and Rs 13.04 billion for special category.
