Kathmandu. Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Deepak Khadka, has directed the employees not to delay the work being carried out in the ministry and subordinate bodies. In a meeting of the ministry and its subordinate employees held here today, he directed all to work effectively without delay.
“There have been complaints that files are being stopped in the ministry and subordinate bodies and work is delayed. The citizens did not face any problem by stopping any file, work in such a way that any file is verified within three days,” said Minister Khadka. He expressed concern over the lack of significant progress made by the agencies under the ministry.
The minister said that it would be easier to achieve the goals taken by us only by providing rewards and punishment to the employees. “We call the employees a permanent government, the work is not permanent, let’s fulfill the responsibility given to us honestly,” he said. Energy Minister Khadka directed the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology to take the dissemination of information to the people to reduce the risk of rain.
State Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Kham Bahadur Garbuja, Energy Secretary Suresh Acharya, Water Resources and Irrigation Secretary Sarita Dawadi, Director General of the Department of Water Resources and Irrigation Sanjeev Baral, Director General of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology Kamal Ram Joshi, Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority Hitendra Dev Shakya, Joint Secretary of the Ministry and other subordinate bodies were present in the meeting. The meeting also presented the physical and financial progress report of the ministry and the agencies under the ministry till mid-April.
