Kathmandu. Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that employment should be created for five hundred thousand people in a fiscal year. Addressing a civic dialogue program on ‘Increasing Youth Migration and the Danger of Misuse for Military Purposes’ organized by the Human Rights and Peace Society here today on the occasion of the 76th International Human Rights Day, he informed that employment should be created in the country to stop youth migration.
He said that just as the amount of revenue collected in a fiscal year is measured, the amount of employment created in a year should also be measured. “There is no discussion on such issues in the main political parties, the media has also not been able to debate such issues, I have initiated a debate on such issues in the two-party mechanism of the ruling party, if employment can be created, it will be easier for the political leadership,” he said.
General Secretary Thapa says that since the future is a knowledge economy, attention should be paid to producing the necessary human resources for it. Since many youth have gone abroad for employment, he is of the opinion that the ministry should be arranged in such a way that employment can be created in the country, including foreign employment.
