Kathmandu. National Assembly MP Urmila Aryal has said that the country’s economy should be strengthened rather than depending on other countries, emphasizing the need to mobilize the country’s resources and create employment in the country. She said that the budget mobilization should be made transparent and grant funds should be utilized properly.
During today’s special meeting of the National Assembly, she said that instead of building a self-respecting economy, one should not rely solely on foreign employment and remittances. MP Sharada Devi Bhatta has demanded justice for Prakriti Lamsal, a student at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology in Odisha, India.
Demanding an end to violence against women, she said, “It must be said with sadness that many people like Nirmala Pantha, Prakriti Lamsal, and Rinku Kumari Sada have lost their lives unnecessarily.” Arguing that it is inappropriate to oppose the ordinance recently issued by the government, she said that everyone should come together to pass it.
She objected to the recent statement made by MP Gyanendra Shahi, a member of the House of Representatives, about the National Assembly.
