Kathmandu. Nepal Electricity Authority has opened employment opportunities for 1033 people at the officer and assistant levels. The authority has advertised for permanent appointment of 195 people at the officer level of various groups from levels 7 to 10 and 838 people at the assistant level of various groups through open/inclusive competition on Friday. The written examination for all the posts will be conducted by the Public Service Commission.
The last date for submitting applications for the said posts is Poush 25, while applications can be submitted by Magh 3 by paying double the fee.
The age limit for the posts of officer level 8 or above should be 21 years and not more than 40 years as on the last date for submitting applications and for the posts of level 7, should be 21 years and not more than 35 years. However, in the case of women and candidates with disabilities, they should not have exceeded 40 years of age. For the post of Assistant Level 5, they should have completed 18 years and not exceeded 35 years. In the case of women and candidates with disabilities, they should not have exceeded 40 years of age. There is no age limit for permanent employees working in the authority.
The highest number of people, that is, 62 Level 7 Electrical Engineers, are required at the officer level. Those with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering can apply. 38 people are required for Level 7 Administrative Officers in the administration sector. Those with a bachelor’s degree in any subject can apply.
31 people are required for Level 7 Accounting Officers. Those with a master’s degree in commerce or business administration can apply. 21 Level 7 Computer Engineers are required for the technical side. Those who have passed the bachelor’s degree in computer engineering can apply. 9 Level 7 Civil Engineers are required for the technical side. Those who have passed the bachelor’s degree in civil engineering can apply.
8 Level 8 Assistant Manager Electrical are required for the authority side. Those who have passed the master’s degree in electrical engineering and have five years of work experience in an officer-level position in the Government of Nepal or an organized organization can apply. 8 Level 7 Chartered Accountants are required for the administration side. Those who have passed the CA can apply.
1/1 Level 10 Manager Electrical Group is required for the technical side, Level 8 Assistant Director for the administration side, and Level 8 Assistant Director for the accounting side. On the technical side, Level 7 Survey Engineer, Level 7 Environmentalist and Level 7 Geologist 2/2 are required.
41 Level 5 Meter Reading Supervisors are required. 12 in Koshi Province, 16 in Madhesh, 5 in Gandaki, 3 in Karnali and 5 in Sudupaschim. The minimum qualification for Meter Reading Supervisors is a proficiency certificate level or 12th grade pass.
39 Level 5 Accountants are required. 7 in Koshi, 13 in Madhesh, 8 in Lumbini and 6 in Sudupaschim. The minimum qualification for accountants is a Certificate of Proficiency in Commerce or Business Administration or a 12th grade pass.
740 people are required for Level 5 Electrical Supervisors. 140 in Koshi Province, 95 in Madhesh, 120 in Bagmati, 84 in Gandaki, 140 in Lumbini, 70 in Karnali and 91 in Sudurpaschim. The minimum qualification for this post is a Certificate of Proficiency or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a Level 3 skill test in the relevant subject provided by the Technical Education and Vocational Training Council.
19 people are required for Level 5 Mechanical Supervisors. 2 people are required in Lumbini Province, 12 in Karnali Province, and 5 in Sudupaschim Province. The minimum qualification for this is a Certificate of Proficiency or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a Level 3 skill test in the relevant subject provided by the Technical Education and Vocational Training Council.
3 people are required for Level 5 Civil Supervisors. 2 people are required for Civil in Sudurpaschim Province and 1 person is required for Survey in Bagmati Province. The minimum qualification for this is a Certificate of Proficiency or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a Level 3 skill test in the relevant subject provided by the Technical Education and Vocational Training Council. Those who have passed the Certificate of Proficiency level or Diploma in Survey Engineering or have passed the Level 3 skill test in the relevant subject provided by the Technical Education and Vocational Training Council are eligible to apply.
Officer-level employees will have to work throughout Nepal, while assistant-level employees will have to work in various offices of the Authority under the province where the application form is submitted. Employees selected and appointed through provincial-level advertisements will not be transferred anywhere except the office of that region for 7 years.
