Udayapur. Out of the eight municipalities here, four municipalities and four rural municipalities have presented and passed a budget worth Rs 6.62 billion for the fiscal year 2082/83. On Monday, all eight municipalities in the district presented and passed a budget worth Rs 6.61 billion for the fiscal year 2082/83.
Among the eight municipalities in the district, Triyuga Municipality has brought the highest budget, while Tapli Rural Municipality has brought the smallest budget. Triyuga Municipality has brought a budget worth Rs 1.53 billion.
Similarly, Chaudandigadhi Municipality has brought a budget worth Rs 1.13 billion. Katari Municipality has brought a budget of Rs 876.5 million 3,400, while Belka Municipality has brought a budget of Rs 772.6 million 41,000.
Among the four rural municipalities, Udayapurgadhi Rural Municipality has brought a budget of Rs 684.0 million 5,000, while Rautamai Rural Municipality has brought a budget of Rs 669.9 million 61,000, according to the people’s representatives of the respective rural municipalities.
Similarly, Limchungbung Rural Municipality has brought a budget of Rs 431.0 million 8,000, while Tapli Rural Municipality has brought a budget of Rs 417.3 million 55,000.
Triyuga Municipality Mayor Basanta Kumar Basnet, who brought a budget for agriculture, physical infrastructure, health and education, domestic tourism, and self-employment for local youth, and Belka Chief Ashok Karki said.
Rautamai Rural Municipality Chairman Birendra Magar said that the budget has been brought to give more emphasis to physical infrastructure and agriculture in rural municipalities in the hilly areas of the district.
