Kathmandu. In coordination with the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has offered 40 billion Egyptian pounds (approximately 782 million US dollars) of Treasury Bills (T-Bills).
The auction consists of two tranches. The first tranche is worth 30 billion pounds. Its 91-day term matures on July 15. While the second tranche is worth a total of 10 billion pounds. Its 273-day term matures on January 13, 2026.
The 91-day T-Bills have recorded yields of up to 28.2 percent, while the 273-day T-Bills have yielded 26.2 percent. The CBE typically issues T-bills on behalf of the Ministry of Finance to cover budget deficits.
