Banke. A three-day holiday has been granted to community and institutional schools in Nepalgunj due to the increasing cold. The winter holiday has been granted from today until Magh 11.
According to Gorkha Bahadur Thapa, Chief of the Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City Education, Youth and Sports Division, the holiday has been granted as a deduction from the winter holiday due to adverse weather conditions.
He clarified that the holiday was granted because the cold wave was causing difficulties in school operations. Parents had also been informally requesting the school as well as the municipality for the holiday.
