“I have decided to go to Mustang by road from Pokhara to understand the status of the Kaligandaki Corridor road, the possibility and mobilization of natural resources, the need for infrastructure development and to understand the problems of the people,” he said. ’
Chairman Dahal stressed the need for identifying, promoting and developing natural resources to create employment opportunities in hydropower projects being constructed in Kaligandaki and surrounding rivers as well as to attract tourists to the mountains, waterfalls and scenic views. He said that the economic condition of the citizens can be changed through tourism promotion.
After taking a bath at bhurung-Tatopani kunda, Chairman Dahal interacted with Annapurna Rural Municipality Chair Bharat Kumar Pun, former Chair Dam Bahadur Pun, locals and leaders and cadres. Based on the dissatisfaction of the people, some elements are trying to bring the country back to autocracy. It is necessary for all the republican parties to unite against this,” he said, adding, “The country which has created awareness among the people that the alternative to republic is a reformed republic cannot turn back from the present system.” ’
