Kathmandu. Due to insufficient rainfall, the sky over Kathmandu Valley has become cloudy and air pollution has also increased. Meteorologist Binu Maharjan said that the rain has not been received due to the influence of local winds and the western low-pressure system, according to the Weather Forecasting Department.
‘There has been snowfall and light rain in some parts of the country, but there has been no rain to remove the pollution,’ he said, ‘It seems that this will continue for three more days.’ According to the ‘Air Quality Index’, Kathmandu has been listed as the fifth most polluted city in the world today. Today, the air pollution here has reached 163 AQI.
The capital of Vietnam, Hanoi, has been listed as the most polluted city in the world, while Beijing, China, has come second. The third most polluted city is Dhaka in Bangladesh and the fourth is New Delhi in India.
