Chitwan. With the increase in heat, the arrival of domestic tourists to the tourist places of Ichhakamana Municipality has increased. Domestic tourists have increased in Ichhakamana’s Urdangadhi, Long Waterfall, Siraichuli, Hatiwang village, Mayatar, Ghurkesh and Ichchhakamana temples.
According to Dasiram Dhakal, former president of Hotel Entrepreneurs Association and former president of The Hotel Entrepreneurs Association, domestic tourists come here to enjoy the natural beauty of various parts of Ichchhakamana and to bathe in Trishuli. “The heat is increasing in the Terai region of Chitwan, but there is no feeling of heat here,” dhakal said. With the rise in heat, the houses of Urdanggadhi, Ghurkesh Hatiwang and other villages including Mayatar are full. Tika Gurung, who has been running a homestay at Mayatar of Ichhakamana-2, said they were encouraged by the influx of domestic tourists. “Tourists come here for 12 months, but the number of domestic tourists increases during the summer season,” he said. ’
According to him, around 20 tourists used to visit Mayatar and Ghurkesh every day in May last year, but now 50 tourists visit the place every day. Gurung said more tourists visit the country on Saturdays and other public holidays. At present, 14 houses are in operation in Ghurkesh and two in Mayatar, said Ichchhakamana rural municipality chair Dan Bahadur Gurung.
