Myagdi. Necessary safety equipment has been distributed to the members of the consumer committee and workers participating in the Prime Minister’s Employment Program in Malika Rural Municipality of West Myagdi. Necessary safety equipment has been distributed to 14 consumer committees and workers from all seven wards within the rural municipality.
For the current fiscal year 2081/82, 14 schemes are being operated in seven wards, two of which are under the Prime Minister’s Self-Employment Program in each ward. Among the schemes under the self-employment program, safety equipment including helmets, gloves, boots, jackets and other safety equipment have been distributed to the users’ committees and workers of the scheme, including the construction of public toilets and footpaths, according to Milan Subedi, employment assistant of the rural municipality.
Subedi informed that the safety equipment provided to the workers to ensure safe, organized and effective work will create a safe environment while working.
