Baglung. To help farmers earn income, Baglung Municipality has distributed beehives with bees as a grant to 58 farmers in its area. The beehives have been distributed to farmers at a 50 percent grant.
The municipality, in collaboration with farmers, purchased and distributed beehives with bees for Rs. 7,700, informed Baglung Municipality Deputy Mayor Raju Khadka.
‘The municipality has provided the grant to increase income through beekeeping,’ he said. He said that the beehives with bees were distributed at a cost of Rs. 446,000 to the municipality and 58 farmers. In the past, the municipality had also distributed threshers, mini tiller plows, and beehives.
