Distributable profit of 20 commercial banks is 26 billion, 6 banks are ‘negative’

Kathmandu. Twenty commercial banks have made public their raw financial statements for the second quarter of the current fiscal year. The total distributable profit of the banks operating till the review period is Rs 26.43 billion.

Until the second quarter of the current fiscal year, the distributable profit of 6 banks has decreased while the distributable profit of 14 commercial banks has increased. The distributable profit of the 14 companies that increased is Rs 26.43 billion, while the distributable profit of 6 banks is negative.

The distributable profit decreased in Kumari Bank, Himalayan Bank, Citizens Bank, Laxmi Sunrise Bank, Machhapuchhre Bank and Siddhartha Bank, while the distributable profit increased in Prabhu Bank, Krishi Bikas Bank, Nepal Bank, Rastriya Banijya Bank, Everest Bank, Global IME Bank, Nabil Bank, NIMB Bank, Nepal SBI Bank, NIC Asia Bank, NMB Bank, Prime Commercial Bank, Sanima Bank and Standard Chartered Bank.

The highest distributable profit in the second quarter of the current fiscal year was recorded by Kumari Bank. The bank’s distributable profit is Rs 6.47 billion. The bank’s distributable profit in the same period last year was 3.77 billion. The bank’s distributable profit has decreased compared to the previous year.

Among the banks with the highest distributable profit, Himalayan Bank is at number two. The bank’s distributable profit is 3.95 billion rupees. Last year, the bank’s distributable profit was 4.52 billion rupees.

Similarly, Prabhu Bank is at number three. The bank has 3.33 billion rupees, compared to 1.86 billion rupees in the same period last year. The distributable profit of Agricultural Development Bank is 1.22 billion rupees. The distributable profit of the bank in the last fiscal year was Rs 750 million.

Similarly, the distributable profit of Nepal Bank has increased in the second quarter of the current fiscal year. The distributable profit of the bank is Rs 600 million, while the bank’s such profit in the last fiscal year was Rs 560 million.

The distributable profit of Rastriya Banijya Bank has increased. The bank’s distributable profit in the current fiscal year is Rs 1.25 billion, while the such profit in the last fiscal year was Rs 400 million. The distributable profit of Citizens Bank is Rs 150 million. Last year, the bank’s distributable profit was Rs 210 million.

Similarly, Everest Bank’s distributable profit was Rs 2.71 billion, Global IME Bank’s Rs 2.64 billion, Laxmi Sunrise Bank’s Rs 360 million, and Machhapuchhre Bank’s Rs 160 million.

Similarly, Nabil Bank’s distributable profit was Rs 1.89 billion, NIMB Bank’s Rs 2.86 billion, Nepal SBI Bank’s Rs 1.20 billion, NIC Asia Bank’s Rs 2.65 billion, while NMB Bank’s Rs 1.32 billion, Prime Commercial Bank’s Rs 1.84 billion, Sanima Bank’s Rs 1.79 billion, 560 million, and Standard Chartered Bank’s Rs 1.56 billion.
