Tanahun. The number of seasonal patients including diarrhoea, fever, typhoid, dengue and cold has started increasing at Bandipur Hospital here. The 15-bed hospital has been full of patients for the past few days.

Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr Anil Giri, said that more than 100 patients come to the hospital daily for treatment. “Earlier, 35-40 patients used to come every day. The number of patients is increasing as they have started getting effective services from the hospital. ’

As the number of patients is increasing every day, ‘coliform’ tests are being done on the source of water. “We have come to the hospital to provide round-the-clock service,” he said, adding, “Opd service has been provided from 7 am to 8 pm since April 15.” ’

Tickets have been made free for patients coming for treatment. In addition to Bandipur rural municipality, patients from neighbouring municipalities Byasnagar, Anbukhaireni and Gorkha Palungtar also come here for treatment. The number of patients coming from Palungtar in Gorkha has started increasing after Bandipur Kewalkar allowed 200 people to travel if they show health insurance card and hospital ticket card.
