Deputy Prime Minister Singh urges timely completion of Tribhuvan University cricket ground work

Kathmandu. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh has urged the completion of the cricket ground of Tribhuvan University on time. He has urged the construction businessmen concerned to set an example by completing the construction of the stadium’s grandstand and installing ‘floodlights’ within the stipulated time.

‘This is a work that the Government of Nepal, including the Prime Minister, has given high priority to and that cricket lovers across the country have shown interest in. Therefore, set an example that development projects in the country can be completed on time,’ said Deputy Prime Minister Singh.

Minister for Youth and Sports Tejulal Chaudhary, along with Deputy Prime Minister Singh, also inspected the construction work at the cricket ground. On Ashad 13, it was decided to build an international-level cricket stadium in Kirtipur in a cabinet meeting led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. The deadline for completing the work is mid-April.

The contract for the construction of the auditorium was awarded on Falgun 19. Three companies were jointly awarded the work to construct the parapet. Similarly, the work was started by signing an agreement with ‘Bisan Ishwari JV’ on Falgun 22 for the construction of floodlights.
