Kathmandu. Denmark’s Danish kroner notes will be exchangeable only until mid-February. The Nepal Rastra Bank has issued a notice stating that Danish kroner notes will be exchanged only until mid-Falgun.
The National Bank has stated that the Danish kroner notes, whose legal validity was revoked after May 31, 2025, will not be exchanged after mid-Falgun (March 13, 2025).
The National Bank has stated in the notice that people who have Danish kroner notes should exchange them within the specified time at the Banking Department of the National Bank, provincial offices, banks and financial institutions licensed to transact foreign exchange within mid-Falgun.
The National Bank will not exchange Danish kroner notes after mid-Falgun The relevant authorities have stated that they will not be obliged to exchange Danish kroner notes. The Rastra Bank has also informed that detailed information regarding banknotes that have been revoked as legal tender is available on the website of the Central Bank of Denmark.
