Kathmandu. Former Chairman of the Council of Ministers Khilraj Regmi has said that there is no better system of governance than democracy and republic. Talking to the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), he called upon all levels and sections to work towards making the country advanced and prosperous by correcting the shortcomings seen during the exercise of federal democratic republic in the country.
Former chairman Regmi said, “Democracy itself will be strong and prosperous if the republic returns and the people are happy and happy.” Stating that it was necessary to formulate laws and plan in time to strengthen the republic achieved through great struggle and sacrifice, he stressed the need to put an end to the shortcomings seen in some practices and the frustrations heard due to lack of resources.
Regmi, who is also a former Chief Justice, recalled that he led the government in political confusion and complicated circumstances after the dissolution of the first Constituent Assembly due to its failure to deliver the constitution. He said that some of the shortcomings seen during resource management and practice can be rectified immediately.
