Kathmandu. Rukmini Koirala has demanded to reduce the number of locals in order to become economical by cutting the expenditure of the state. In today’s meeting of the National Assembly, she suggested reducing the existing 753 to 553 local levels.
In the meeting, Koirala also stressed the need for implementing the fundamental rights enshrined in the constitution. She stressed the need for ensuring fundamental rights to build an equitable society.
“Articles 16 to 47 of the Constitution provide for fundamental rights. But what is the status of the implementation of these fundamental rights? There is a need to discuss this issue,” Koirala said, adding, “There are various acts made for the implementation of those fundamental rights.” But these acts should be implemented effectively. There is a need to study these acts and rules made for the implementation of fundamental rights. ’
