Kathmandu. Clause-wise discussion has begun on the Nepal Legal Practitioners Council (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081. Clause-wise discussion has begun in the Legislative Management Committee under the National Assembly from Monday.
Speaking at the meeting, Nepali Congress MP Krishna Prasad Sitaula said that the decisions made by the Supreme Court should be followed by the higher and district courts and therefore decisions should be made in a way that sets a good precedent.
He demanded an answer to the question of whether the Nepal Legal Practitioners Council (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081 was brought without sufficient time. He said that in Nepal’s legal system, there is no system of making decisions based on what is seen with the eyes and there is a system of making decisions based on what is seen on paper. He said that the bill should work to make the judiciary fair and effective.
