Customs duty on liquor, beer, tobacco and cigarettes hiked

Kathmandu. The government has increased customs duty on import of liquor, beer, tobacco and cigarettes for the next fiscal year.

Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel, while presenting the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83 BS in the Meeting of the House of Representatives, said that the customs duty on import of liquor has been increased.

Some rates of customs duty have been adjusted. The existing excise duty rate has been increased.
