Kathmandu. Today, the festival of Mahashivratri is being celebrated across the country with the worship of the revered Lord Mahadev. Today, a crowd of devotees has gathered at Shiva temples across the country, including the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu, to worship Lord Mahadev.
Today, people bathe in the river and purify themselves, reach the Shiva temple early in the morning and worship Lord Mahadev with devotion. Devotees have been standing in line to worship Pashupatinath since this morning.
Named after the night on which Shivaji was born, this festival is mentioned in scriptures such as the Shiva Purana as one of the four major nights namely Kaalratri, Moharatri, Sukhratri and Shivaratri as a holy festival.
Celebrated on the day of Phalguna Krishna Chaturdashi, this festival is also considered as the most beloved day of Ashutosh Lord Shiva, who brings religion to the hearts of beings who are in a sad and difficult situation.
Today, Shiva temples across the country, Devghat in Tanahun, Galeshwor Dham in Myagdi, Santaneshwor Mahadev, There is a crowd of devotees at Shiva temples including Halesi Mahadev, Kusheshwor Mahadev.
They say that arrangements have been made for the devotees who have reached Pashupatinath for worship to visit it easily. They said that there is a comfortable and good environment for worship and darshan.
The Pashupati Area Development Fund has stated that there is no shortage in the management for the devotees who have reached Pashupatinath for worship.
