The followers of the Vedic Sanatan Hindu religion are celebrating the festival of ‘Shri Krishna Janmashtami’ across the country today with devotion and devotion by worshipping Lord Krishna. Since Lord Krishna, the founder of Jnana Yoga, Karma Yoga, and Bhakti Yoga, was born on the midnight of Bhadra Krishna Ashtami in the Dwapara Yuga, today is called ‘Shri Krishna Janmashtami’ and the night is called ‘Moharatri’. On this day, Lord Krishna is worshipped, preached, and sung in Krishna temples across the country, and especially women and men observe a ‘vrata’ and stay awake all night.
Shri Krishna, who was born as the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu to protect all humanity from injustice, tyranny, and demonic tendencies, had stood for truth throughout his life and inspired the human community to do good deeds. The ‘Shrimad Bhagavad Gita’ is considered a sacred text, spoken by Lord Krishna himself while giving a sermon to Arjuna, one of the Pandavas involved in the battle with the Kauravas in Kurukshetra. This text, also known as the Gita for short, is believed to have been translated into the most languages in the world.
It is mentioned in the mythological text that Shri Krishna, who had shown his strange pastimes since childhood, had killed demons like Putana, Kansa, Jarasandha and Shishupala. Lines have been arranged for visitors on the south and north sides of the temple for worship. Nepal Scouts and Lalitpur Metropolitan Police are deployed to manage the line of devotees.
