Kathmandu. All four doors have been opened from 3:30 am for the devotees who have come to perform the puja on Sawan Monday.
The Pashupati Area Development Fund has stated that security, volunteer mobilization, darshan management, health camps, drinking water, etc. have been arranged for the devotees.
Since the month of Sawan and Monday are the month and day of Lord Shiva, a large crowd of devotees gathers on this occasion. During the month of Shrawan, devotees also flock to Pashupatinath Temple to offer water by taking a Bol Bam Yatra from Sundarijal. It is a custom to bring pure water from Sundarijal after taking a Bol Bam Yatra and offering it to Pashupatinath.
In the Kathmandu Valley, including Pashupatinath, Gokarneshwor, Santaneshwor, Doleshwor, Kiranteshwor, Bhaleshwor, Sanga in Kavrepalanchok, Devghat in Tanahun, Galeshwor in Myagdi, and other Shiva temples, devotees have been busy bathing and worshipping Mahadev since morning.
