Kathmandu. Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that it is the need of the hour to develop local entrepreneurship in villages and create self-reliance and employment.

‘Recently, there has been an increasing attraction towards ‘start-up’ businesses. The young generation is trying to work creatively even with small investments. To run such enterprises, concessional loans, training, skill development and special grants are also required,’ said President Deuba. ‘To survive in business, entrepreneurs need patience and continuity. Since it is necessary to provide, the support, patronage and patronage of the government are indispensable. If the ‘start-up’ business is operated effectively with little investment, a revolution in employment can be brought about.’

Along with this, he said that if special attention is paid to the proper development of sectors with high potential such as agriculture, forestry, herbs, tourism, and technology, it will be of great help in improving the economic condition of the country. He said, “The government has recently brought a law to facilitate business by ending the legal and procedural hassles faced by entrepreneurs, traders, and businessmen. I am confident that this law will provide the necessary support in improving this sector.”

Say that information technology is another issue that needs the state’s attention for the country’s progress, President Deuba emphasized that to carry out all these tasks, there must be balanced and coordinated development of natural resources, human resources, capital, and technology along with political stability. “The exhibition of various latest products and services here will encourage local entrepreneurship and inspire investors for opportunities, and will open new doors for self-employment for the youth suffering from unemployment,” said President Deuba. “I believe that it will also help improve the economic situation of the country, which has been hit by the global recession, through innovation and entrepreneurship.”

He expected that the conclusions from the discussions of this conference would guide not only the party but also the government in formulating an action plan. “The expected results will be achieved through the efforts of all, including preparing a report and a book from the conference’s conclusions, building a network of youth who contribute to entrepreneurship and economic growth, and increasing the promotion and sales of local products through policy reforms and exhibitions,” he said.

The conference will be held today and Thursday at the party’s central office in Sanepa. It is said that the conference will discuss what kind of policy should be formulated to encourage entrepreneurship, especially among the youth and women who have the spirit of doing something. The organizer says that the conference will provide a flow of knowledge from learning, experience and ideas from different fields.
