Kathmandu. CPN (Maoist Centre) Chief Whip Hitraj Pandey has demanded the formation of an inquiry committee into the visit visa scandal. Speaking at a meeting of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee on Wednesday, he demanded the formation of an inquiry committee into the visit visa case.

Opposition political parties, including the main opposition parties, have been obstructing parliament demanding the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, accusing him of being involved in the visit visa case.

At a time when the House was being disrupted, Home Minister Lekhak said that the transfer of police officers working in the CIAA on the same day and the immediate return of them again has created more doubts.

He accused the government of doing more evil things at a time when citizens are looking for good governance.

Chief Whip Pandey said, “We are taking the House to a state of disruption. Again, at the same time, the honorable Home Minister sent the police officer sent to the CIAA on the same day and returned it once again. We need an inquiry committee. This is a serious matter. It’s like good governance. The good governance committee talks about good governance, people are looking for good governance. What’s the matter about that?”

Chief Whip Pandey accused the government of not finalising the bills at the earliest.
