Corona patients are being seen: 30 people infected in seven days

Kathmandu. With the change in weather, patients with symptoms of corona virus have started appearing. With the change in weather, infections like cold, fever and flu have started appearing in people.

Dr Chandra Bhal Jha, director of the Epidemiology and Infectious Disease Control Division, said that although the infection of corona virus was seen at the border points, it has also decreased now. According to him, some people coming from India have been found infected in Kanchanpur, which is on the border of Nepal-India border.

According to him, so far 160 people have been infected with the corona virus. In the last seven days, 30 people have been infected and five in 24 hours. Bagmati Province has the highest number of infections at 129, Sudurpaschim Province at 17, Madhes Province at five, Koshi, Gandaki province and Lumbini Province at three each.

Director Dr Jha also informed that antigen has been found in the areas where coronavirus infection has been detected. According to him, 640 antigens have been received so far for testing at the border points. Considering the risk of infection, the process of procuring more antigens has also been forwarded.

Director of Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Diseases Hospital, Dr Yuvanidhi Basaula, said that patients come to the hospital for treatment. “With the change in weather, people are suffering from cold and fever,” he said. Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr Prakash Budhathoki, said that the infection has been detected in Nepal as well.

“After being diagnosed in India, patients of flu have also been seen in Nepal,” he said. Spokesperson at the Ministry, Dr Budhathoki, said people, chronic patients and senior citizens who have not been vaccinated against coronavirus are still at risk.
